Does anyone else like to "cook" cookies that are too soft? How do you do it?

I think the best thing might be a toaster oven. But I don't have one. So I use a microwave. If it is for a large cookie (like Subway/etc) I will cook it for about 30-40 seconds. I don't know why so many places undercook their cookies, because the crispiness from the added cooking really adds to the flavor in my opinion.

What about you?

The microwave works poorly on anything with flour in it. Microwaves work by heating the water molecules in food, not the food itself. As such, they tend to dry out low-moisture foods and make them tough.

A microwave will heat a cookie and make it gooey, but it won’t make it crispy. You need an oven for that.

Interesting topic, and the advice/info^ is appreciated.
I like a gooey soft cookie, but commercially-made undercooked cookies annoy me, I don't care for the texture/flavor.

I HATE soft cookies, I love 'em very crisp, so I usually have to re-heat any leftovers the next day. (Or of course I can eat them all on the day I bake them, but that doesn't seem smart ... )

I use my toaster oven to re-heat. OP, if you eat cookies often enough you might want to invest in a $25 oven.

Without a toaster oven, your next best choice is a frying pan.

I mean seriously... everyone makes fried pie, right? Right? Hello? Is there an echo in here?
