Yes but if you spray a light coating of non stick spray in the bowl the soup will not stain the plastic.

The only problem with that is, then you have the chemicals from the non-stick spray in your soup.

What the heck is in non stick spray? Perhaps coat the bowl with a bit of olive oil before pouring in the soup. Either that or get a real bowl.

Pam spray but I am sure I very light coating of olive oil would work.

Pretty hard to get oil to stick to plastic.

The reason a "non-stick" spray can stick to plastic is that it is not oil. Personally, I don't care to have such gunk in my food.

A better choice from a health standpoint would be to use a non-plastic bowl, or else choose a color that doesn't show the stains, like cobalt blue.
