Church's has the bigger pieces and lowest prices. I'm pretty sure that it's also the least healthy, but I eat there more often than any of the other "Big 3". Popeyes used to be my favorite, but they've been disappointing me more and more. I go to KFC when I'm in the mood for salty chicken.
Pollo Campero is a new favorite of mine. It has such a unique flavor to it, and I love the fried yuca with sauce.
Churchs is our hometown business.. Born and run here! Gotta go with them for that reason. They used to have much bigger pieces than they do now. Kentucky probably has best flavors. Popeye's can be good too. I've been happy with all and disappointed by all at times. Those three are pretty close. Kentucky uses such tiny pieces is their biggest drawback. Chick-Fil-A is very good for sandwiches. We have a new local outfit that has excellent chicken tenders and fried okra.
Zankou is my favorite but it's regional (L.A. area). I voted KFC for the original recipe, and Popeye's for their sides. I don't do fast food much anymore, but I could probably subsist on those three pretty much exclusively if I did.
Zorns, there are 2 locations on LI. Their fried chicken is great and it's skinless, the roasted chicken is great too and the side dishes are delicious. Years ago we used to like pudgies but they aren't as good as they used to be. The last tiem we had pudgies was 4 years ago and it was so so.
KFC, popeyes and pollo compero are the only ones on the poll that are on LI. I have only had KFC though and it's not as good as it was 20 years ago IMO.
Where is Roy Rogers and Boston Market,or is it only fried chicken?
I pick Boston Market, but from the list maybe Kfc. I only eat the extra crispy chicken though.
Bojangles has got to be the worst chicken I ever ate.
