Oh, that reminds me of candied citrus slices ....... anyone else make those when you were a kid? Just lay the slices out in a huge amount of sugar and let them stay until dried? I did that sometimes with mommy.

I have a lemon tree in my garden, but I usually just juice lemons for drinking or use them for cooking. The same goes with oranges as well, I find my gums get a bit sensitive when I eat a citrus fruit.
I brushed my teeth right after because I'm concerned about the acid effect on teeth.
That's the best way to handle it, but the problem is not the limes; it's the sugar. And I hope you brush with salt, because they put sugar in toothpaste.
