Let me clarify my position. I have no problem with imported foods. However, you should be able to identify the country of origin on all the product. Unlike a lot of the USA purchase, much of the Mexican produce has recently included a website as well as specific details as to the location where it is grown.
Some of the EU-sourced products at Aldi is excellent BUT I would like to know specifically which country is producing the product. I am far more willing to spend the money for a German jam than a Polish or Bulgarian one.
