There are really too many to choose from and I am not a huge fan of casual chain dining. In fact, to me, they are the same or similar to fast food, just served in a little nicer atmosphere. I did vote for Outback. For the money they have a decent steak and a great salad. We had a gift card for Chilies recently. I dould have to say, again, for the money they do a good lunch and Friday's, years ago used to be pretty good. A lot of them have closed down. On the Border many years ago was about the best cheap Mexican food around, it has really gone down hill. We stopped going there about 5 years ago. Again, we only eat out about once a month, so we are not experts.

There aren't a lot of those in my area. We have some chain which aren't on there such as Logan's Roadhouse which we really like. We have a lot of local mom and pop restaurants which definitely have the chains beat.

But for a quick cheap meal, I still like Steak and Shake, even though I don't eat the grease often.

Pretty much all on the list I like, but I prefer the ones with more of the seafood-steakhouse setting, like Red Lobster, Outback. Also a fan of Benihana.

1/ Cheesecake Factory, good selection. After eating there, I usually go out and run 5 miles to burn off the calories.

3/ Benihana
4/ Johnny Rockets
5/ California Pizza Kitchen

Carrabba's is our very favorite casual restaurant..great food! The Chicken Marsala is excellent as well as Steak Marsala (see a trend here?)---the marsala sauce is the BEST EVER. The pasta, salads, seafood, are all very flavorful...critics fault the restaurants for not being "authentic" Italian food but, it is delicious food .

Trying hard to not go out as much as we can't really afford it. We do go for special occasions at times. Also, I am moving to vegan eating, so none on the list are vegan or have anything vegan.

I wonder what it means...I have eaten at five of those....Benihana, Ihop, Olive Garden, Outback and Red Lobster.

Never been back to any of them. Probably won't, either.
