Making some yakitori for dinner tonight. Something about food on a stick makes it seem even better. You could pan fry it.... or put it on a stick. I've got some metal skewers and the wood ones you have to soak in water.
Candied apples come to mind. It's food on a stick. Has there ever been bad food on a stick? I think not.
Here in Montana, you go to Farmers Markets, and someone is always grilling cubes of pork on a fat stick. They sell for about $2. Or $3. Sizzling, brown, a bit burnt on the edges, hot, juicy, the juice runs down your chin when you bite into it.
not a fan of sticks, they puncture the meat and let the juice escape, i like my teeth to vice the meat and let the juices explode in my mouth, not run down my chin or dry up before i eat it.
