Sometimes my Mother cook nasi goreng(fried rice) for my breakfast.
The key is ketchup manis(sweet soy sauce)

Sure: Korean, Spanish, Vietnamese, Thai, Cuban, Puerto-Rican, Hawaiian, Indonesian - all different, prepared with myriad ingredients.
I often prepare fried rice at home. The "style" is defined by whatever I find in my fridge

I had wonderful fried rice in Japan (homemade by my friend's mom). Trader Joe's has a frozen variety that is not as good, but still captures some of the flavor.

Tell me about the Cuban and Puerto Rican fried rice. My H is PR and I have never seen or heard of it.

I'm assuming it's the fried yellow rice with various types of seafood in it. I've recently had some down here in Miami made with shrimp, calamari, octopus, green peas, carrots and onion.

Not a big fan of yellow rice, but fried rice and seafood go together perfectly.

Sorry, to increase your shopping bill, guys.
But, felt I had to inform those who care about these things.

You can google this info. Quite an eye opener.
I can google how the earth is flat, the fact that one gets results from google does not research make.

Are you talking about Paella?

I guess I am. But the kind I was served looked nowhere near as fancy as what I'm finding in searches. The taste and presentation was literally that of Chinese takeout fried rice that was yellow.
