with alot of this cheap candy its like some synthetic wax material with corn sizurp and caramel coloring
Have you seen comedian Lewis Black do his rant on candy corn?
Maybe there's a YouTube video of it out there? I can't do that attachment at the present time.

I didn't mind it as much as he obviously did but then again, I don't believe my folks "forced" any particular candy on us but I did like my Snickers. Around Easter time nowadays, they've come out with a 1/2 egg shaped version (cut lengthwise) of Snicker's and it seems softer and goey-er than the bar shaped Snicker's bar. I had made trips to Walmart but must have passed these up. Now, I'm really thinking about them. Hopefully my chocolate attack will pass.

Wish I could remember whether it was a box of Stover or some other named mixed chocolates, but yeah the one I had did have the chocolates named (they were on a separate piece of the white paper by location as well as shape). Another time, the chocolates were identified from underneath, but you had to lift the chocolate piece up in order to see. My first faves were the ones that tasted like a dark chocolate mint.

If some confectioner was willing,

To let the shape announce the filling,

We'd encounter fewer assorted chocs,

Bitten into and returned to the box,

Blech, circus peanuts!! And banana Laffy Taffy. And black licorice.

Accidentally eaten, I usually have to eat about a pound of something good to get the taste out of my mouth.

Tootsie Rolls, Circus Peanuts and that rubbery black licorice that tastes like artificial chemicals and chews like a piece of plastic.

I am amazed at how some of the most disgusting candies known to mankind are the oldest, and have managed to stay around for decades and generations.

Seriously, who buys this stuff?

Why is it that the chocolate candy shells on M&Ms smell like throw up?

It's cheap and tastes kinda yummy..........good enough for many.

Me, I LOVE good quality chocolates..........but the price, wow, too much now. I mean, if you want a treat of say 5 ounces of GOOD chocolate candy......uck, that is real money.

I do!

Their chewiness is part of their appeal.

After trying them a couple of times, we never eat them anymore (not even the kids), but it's a running joke in our family that everyone has to get a package in their stocking and Easter basket every year anyway. So what do you think is the worst tasting candy? Does anything beat Marshmellow Peeps?
Butterfingers.
