I got a free turkey from work and have picked up many cheap ones at .49lb
I had turkey for dinner too. The grocery store was giving a free one with a large purchase, and I didn't know. So I bought $180 of food which completely filled both freezers and all the cupboards. If I had known before I checked out that I'd also be getting a free turkey, I wouldn't have bought so much.
But so anyway, there wasn't room in the freezer for the turkey so it sat in the fridge a few days and finally thawed enough to roast yesterday. No fixin's for me though, just the turkey and some veggies.
Now I still have to find room in the freezers for the leftovers and for the stock I'll make from the bones.
TBone and spaghetti alio i olio i pepperocini. Strange mixture but the steak has to go and we finally have a stove again. Sticker shock - $15 for a plain ol' steak at the supermarket in OK.
Basketball season starts tonight, so we will be running out the door shortly after running in it I will give the kids "something" to tide them over...salami and cheese roll ups, probably. And then, we have to hit Costco after bball...so I will let them get some pizza or hot dogs there. Another healthy night!
Last nights naan pizzas were artichoke, roma tomato, and provolone. Balsamic roasted Brussels on the side..
A blueberry nonfat Greek yogurt, a slice of whole wheat bread with smoked salmon cream cheese, 2 toasted slices of whole wheat bread with strawberry spread and a mug of tea with a bit of skim milk & a teaspoon of sugar.
Take out of some sort. Been making some dishes to bring to My mom's Thursday plus I worked so I am too tired.
