I hate touching the old dishwater that has developed a sort of pond scum over the last few weeks. Sometimes I just pour some bleach into it to sterilize.
being a butcher,,,,,and once you've cleaned out a few deer and moose,,,, not much bothers me in the kitchen,,,except..
if something gets pushed to he back in a Tupperware,,and you cant remember what it is,,,then you open it,,,,,and something stinks, un recognizable, and some fur is now growing on it ....
yep...that's kinda gross (and a waste)
you learn as you get older tho,,,,to put it in the freezer for a day then open it.....doesn't stink ,,,
I have learned to just throw the whole thing out...container and all. More importantly, I've learned not to save leftovers, because they won't get eaten unless my son stops by.

I hate when you have some fruit on your counter and it looks really good from the top, but when you pick one up, the bottom has rotted, leaking some rot liquid around the bottoms of the others, so you have to throw them all out. Blech.
