Do you drink your juice straight? Or do you dilute it?

I love Welches Grape, Motts Apple, and Grape/Apple/Cranberry blends. But I have pretty much stopped drinking them because (a) they are sooo sweet, (b) they are extremely high in carbs.

So, today, while shopping I picked up a half-gallon of grape. I plan to try to dilute it with filtered water - but by how much?

Yes, I dilute mine for the same reason: 1 part water to two parts juice, or 50:50 when adding carbonated water.
There are no rules - it's up to you how you dilute your juice for best taste.

I don't buy juice anymore. I have a cheap Black & Decker juice extractor that I use to make my own. It's messy, expensive and time consuming to do, but it's healthier and I feel much better after drinking it. I usually make about 1.5 qts. at a time and throw in green apples, seedless grapes, kiwi, kale, spinach, lettuce, ginger, carrots, pineapple and/or whatever fruit/vegetable I have on hand. Certain combinations are better than others (collard greens = YUCK!)--not crazy about blueberries but strawberries OK. At some point I'll spring for a vitamix or some other industrial strength juicer, but for now I'm happy with the B&D.

When I have juice (which isn't terribly often) I usually do 1:1 with plain selzer water. But 100% juice, not from concentrate only.

When we make frozen orange juice we dilute it 5 to1 vs the 3 to 1 as directed by every brand I've come across since childhood. Tastes much more like fresh squeezed.

I made a thread about this in the world forum a few weeks ago after noticing that it seemed to be a big thing in Germany and Austria. I think it's a good idea, especially with carbonated water. You spend less money and it doesn't seem to affect the flavour too much. I like the fizziness. When I do it, I probably do about 2 parts juice to 1 part water.

I like undiluted juice, unless I'm having Agua Fresca.

I don't dilute grape juice on the rare occasions I drink it. But I do dilute cranberry juice filling a glass with half juice and then adding water for the rest of it.

Also I never dilute orange juice which I drink regularly. But I also dilute apple juice on the rare occasions that I drink it.

My husband's favorite way to drink orange juice is diluted with soda water. He eyeballs it, but if I had to guess, I'd say the ratio is 1:4.

I rarely drink juice, but I don't like any beverages diluted, unless it's strong coffee with real cream or half and half.
