Leftovers from yesterday's Christmas sandwich & finger food offerings. (our family gets together on Christmas Eve, so the families can be in their own homes on Christmas Day). So, it is left-over sliced turkey, sliced ham, cheeses, chips, dips, candy, 3 kinds of pie, 1 cake. Only thing actually cooked today was breakfast because our one grown grand-daughter & her fella' would be here & requested breakfast food. Merry Christmas to you all!
Naturally a turkey roast dinner with ALL the trimmings,
Picking on ham off the bone all day,
Had plenty of chocolates,
Even went to my mates house to see my goddaughter!... had a turkey sandwich and a good few straight southern comforts ( I'm not a spirit drinker usually but that was smooth as hell ... So I especially LOVE Americans today ).
I had a Marie Callender's turkey pot pie and a spinach/kale salad. Snacking on "moose munch" (chocolate and caramel covered popcorn) and sipping on a ginger ale.
picklejuice , so happy to hear he is out of the hospital. Hope our prayers helped.
Tonight dinner for us: I am really not quite sure: after 2 days of drinking a few too many glasses of wine and martinis, way to many holiday snacks and too much food I just want to relax, fix something easy and watch the bowl games. I know we will have green salad, that is a start and the rest of the Brussel sprouts from last night, otherwise I don't know, probably will toss a couple of chicken thighs in the toaster oven or fix on top of stove.
