I have a hard time going into some motel/hotel lobbies because of this.
That stink makes me actually hurl, big time!

There are whole malls that I cannot, will not go to because there is one of these disgusting, reeking Indian places in the food court.

YUK!

Says the poster who started a thread about female smokers wearing perfume being the worst thing ever. Ok. We should all be as clever.

Thanks to everyone who shared their thoughts on this topic - I'm out of repping powers for 24 hours but will continue repping your posts as soon as I can.

Cilantro aversion I knew to be pretty common, I know a few people who are not able to eat it; but the green pepper, I didn't think was that common. I also didn't know even the scent of Indian food was a no go for several folks...I wonder if it is the cumin, maybe coriander? I don't mind Indian food, I actually love many Indian dishes like palak paneer and chicken tikka masala. I love them enough that I learned to prepare them at home.

I do leave the cilantro out when cooking at home if I know my son will be eating whatever I'm prepping that night. Since he doesn't care for guac either, I put cilantro in that and eat it alone.

Mexican or Italian usually make me look elsewhere and definitely no pasta of any kind. Garlic--yuk!

I eat most everything. And while there are a handful of things I wouldn't seek out and eat on their own, but there's probably only one thing where if I know it's in a dish, I won't want to eat that dish: grated coconut meat or dried coconut flakes.

I can do coconut milk in curries or Coco Lopez in a pina colada. But coconut flakes... it's a taste and texture I find really off putting and one I can't get out of my mouth or head if I do end up eating some.

Anything from the world's toilet: fish, shellfish and roe.
Big chunks of onion
Mint
Raw Celery
Meats mixed with fruits
Peanut Butter

If I have to choose one it would be seafood. I rather starve than eat anything that has seafood, even if the amounts are very small I can still taste them.

I know the feeling. I feel like vomiting.

any type of seafood/fish
curry
pickles
cucumbers
large pieces of onion, i do like chives though.
pork chops
whole tomatoes

chiefs that think everything has to have something green on it. I once saw a restaurant put onions in the batter of corndogs. seriously?

I don't mind things cooked with peppers but don't want them in my food where i have to eat them whole. chopped up very finely is fine.

Yes if these are in something I WILL NOT EAT IT!!

1) Aspertame
2) Maltodextrin
3) Sucralose (Same family as aspertame)
4) Carrageenan - NO REASON FOR THIS TO BE IN ANYTHING WE CONSUME!!
5) MSG (I really dont like eating things that have "Monosodium Glutamate" listed!)
