Food that's cooked properly and at the right temperature.
In my defense, I really do go to parties for the people and not the food, but since you asked......I hate burnt dogs and burgers (I mean when they are black and crunchy), I hate burgers that are raw in the middle. I hate it when foods that should be cold are warm and hot food is cold.
Yes, thats one reason, we were determined not to grill... AKA, have an "old fashioned BBQ.' ... we suck at it!
I like things I would not typically make for myself at home like deviled eggs..also I'm Greek so I looove things like Feta cheese, Kalamata olives, Dolmades & Spanakopita. Yum!
Sorry you weren't here; you would have loved the Greek pasta salad.
My sister who lives in Astoria, NY (largest Greek community in US) made it. So picky about which feta cheese ... which olives ... then the olive oil & lemon + zest ... on & on. Yia-yia would have been proud!
And funny that you mention deviled eggs. No party south of the Mason/Dixon line is legit without. So here in Charleston, I've become a connoisseur of deviled eggs. Yes, we served them too!
