We really don't do anything wildly special for Christmas eve. We celebrate Christmas Day.

We're going to graze on assorted cheeses, herring, breads and crackers, a big green salad, and some cucumber dill salad with sour cream. A fruit basket arrived, and the pears look wonderful.

Lots of cookies - both home made, and from the cookie swap at my church. My favorite - Linzer tarts.

I made a potent champagne punch and some mulled wine to sip.

What ever you celebrate - Have a Happy, Healthy, and Delicious holiday, my Foodie Friends!

Oh man, sheena12, you just reminded me that I forgot to buy pickled herring this year. Number 2 son is the only herring lover, and he just left yesterday.

No company for us tonight or tomorrow, so we had leftover moussaka and yellow squash. Cookies and rum cake.

What a delicious and exotic pre-Christmas dinner, Alm!!! It sounds amazing I wanted to rep you but I couldn't because of the system. I wish you and your family a wonderful and very Merry Christmas and best wishes for a year full of happiness, great health, and much abundance. Have fun and enjoy the delicious goodies tomorrow!!!!!!!
