The only reason they *put you on a guilt trip* is because you allow them to put you on a guilt trip.
You continue to say no thank you and repeat as necessary.
Any attitude they get is their issue alone, ignore the attitude and move on with your day.
I just say no thank you. You can always counter the not so good for you snacks by bringing in fruit or snacks that are healthier. At a previous job, people brought in cakes, pies, etc. especially around the holidays and I would bring in snacks that others could also enjoy.
Some coworkers insisted that I join the section's coffee club. Never drank coffee back then. So they told me to bring in tea or dissolvable soup packets. Some of them were really pains in the butt on this issue for some unknown reason.
Just keep saying no to those who bring in goodies. They'll get the message.
Ironically, years after retiring, I've taken to drink coffee. Go figure, eh.
A simple “no thank you” (repeated as needed) will suffice. There’s no need to counter with “I’ll just have my green banana and unseeet tea.” They don’t care and it’s a little passive/aggressive.
