If so, she could always call another manufacturer. Seriously, most consumer products companies have customer service people more than willing to help people out however they can. I figure it never hurts to ask, the worst they can say is they don't know.

I make sorbet with my vintage White Mountain Ice Cream maker, no problems. It's an electric 1980's model.

I do the same with my little Cuisinart countertop maker, sounds like what works in one will work in the other.

Ok, I will pick up an ice cream maker Sunday. For starters something inexpensive at WalMart.

Would granita with coconut milk and coconut for the veg ice cream?

Are you or someone you know a member of Sam's club? They have a Cuisinart machine on sale starting 7/19. Price is 34.97 I think.

I bought mine at Bed, Bath & Beyond with one of their ubiquitous 20% coupons, don't remember the exact cost. Might be a good place to check if no Sam's access.
