It is pretty hard in today's world not o eat any.
We do eat some processed foods, but very little. We cook with milk, but I stopped drinking it in college.

ok, we are probably on even ground here. I was never a huge milk drinker, not like my friends. I will have a glass of buttermilk once in awhile. I keep it for cooking and making home made blue cheese dressing If I don't use it all it spoils, so if I remember i will have a glass at breakfast of use in making waffles, etc. Like you, and I have said this before, processed foods are rare in our home. I love to cook and love it even more if it is from scratch. When we still lived in VA my best friend said, she would always remember me as the gal that ate only vegetables that were fresh and the gal that winter or summer always had a fridge full of fresh ones. 30 years later, I haven't changed when it comes to freshness.

I use to consume shellfish more regularly:: shrimp, lobster, crab legs, scallop, oysters, etc.
Now, it’s rare. I’ve had scallops once in the past few years and shrimp once or twice.

There are several things I no longer eat, but I know the reason(s) why. Availability issues, quality drop, price hike, new information that changes how I regard it--those kinds of reasons.

We stopped eating popcorn because of my diverticulitis and DH's tooth issues, for instance.

I don't know "what they pass off as fish" in your area of Florida, but grouper (gag and black, fresh yellowfin tuna, cobia, snapper (mango, mutton, red, yellow tail, etc.), hogfish, dolphin (mahi) and triple tail are excellent. If you are referring to tilapia, I'll agree with you. Swordfish are caught off the Florida coast. You have to know what to look for when selecting fish at the fish monger. I don't eat sea food at restaurants.

Probably the only canned products we use are tomatoes, beans, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk and the occasional "soup" as an ingredient. We don't use any canned veges. We rarely have the same meal twice in a two month period and unless we have planned to go out, stick to our planned meals.

Bacon. I used to love bacon, would sometimes have a bacon sandwich for breakfast. But then I started eating healthier and bacon was on my list of foods to avoid. Now I barely can stand the taste of it.

Doo Dads. I ate them regularly while growing up. Then I went off to boarding school and college. A couple years ago, I wanted to buy some but I couldn't find it in any grocery store.
