A magazine mentioned bucatini with meatballs and I was thinking what an easy meal that would be if not for having to make the meatballs. Are there any good ones?
Is the issue that you don't want to make your own meatballs AT ALL, or just that you don't always want to make them everytime you want a meal? If the second, then just make a double-batch sometime and freeze the rest. WAY better quality than anything you can buy, plus the "instant meal" satisfaction of having an easy, but good, meat available with little cooking fuss.
There's Nothing store bought, ready-to-eat, that's good.

If you have a Safeway near you, try these and see if they work for you. They are good enough for me.
I’ve had good luck with the Trader Joe’s party meatballs that are smaller. Before I discovered these, I’d given up on frozen meatballs because they all tasted bad, like freezer burn.
The best frozen meatballs BY FAR are made by "Cooked Perfect." I have tried other brands and found them to be quite nasty. Of course, nothing is as good as home made, but I just won't make them. I just use meat sauce that I make myself. I keep the meatballs on hand for a quickie meal.
My wife and I buy these all the time at Jewel in the Chicago area. The spicy meatballs are TRULY spicy and they are delicious for a quick and easy meatball. WAYYY better than any others I've ever had.
