Now yes, we often eat hot foods when it's hot outside, but it's less often when we may eat cold foods when it's cold outside.

Do YOU tend to eat especially cold foods when it's cold/rainy/snowing?

I don't do it often, but if I'm in the mood for ice cream or frozen yogurt, I'll eat it on a cold day.

(And I"ll eat cold salads, pasta salads, etc. year-round.)

Sometimes I do. I live in an area with four distinct seasons, and I grew up in another area of the country with a similar climate. So, I would have to say that I do enjoy "seasonally appropriate foods".

It's cold here more than warm. I love soup, stews, casseroles, and seasonal vegetables, such as squash, turnips, sweet potatoes, roasted root vegetables, etc.

In the summer, I eat a lot of salads and fruit. Mostly green, but other types as well.

I think my preference for Thanksgiving and Christmas type food. I love those spices - thyme, sage, nutmeg, cinnamon, dill, cardamom, allspice, and others. Mashed potatoes - or potatoes of any sort are always a favorite.

I love early Spring when asparagus becomes available, and strawberries are available in abundance. Tomatoes, sweet corn, and zucchini are so abundant in Summer.

So, I guess I am a "seasonal eater".

Sure. I am eating my cold food at home or a restaurant where is warm and cozy. I am not eating it outdoors when the snow is falling on me. Therefore cold days really don't mean much or change my eating habits.
Now, when i come home from being outdoors, where it was cold and I am freezing - it's natural to want to warm up with a warm meal. That's why those warm meals are so popular in Winter. It's a comfort food. It has more fat and more calories too. To keep you warm when you're outdoors.

We eat more cold salads in the summer and more soups and hearty dishes in the winter, but I'm not opposed to either of them at any time. Of course, it doesn't really get very cold here and fresh local vegetables are always available.

The only “cold” foods I’ll consume during winter are salads and cold cereal (once or twice a week) in the morning.

It really depends on the inside temperature of where I am on whether or not I will consider eating cold foods. If it is warm enough indoors, there is no reason not to eat cold foods even if outside it is cold.
