I help elderly mom (both vaccinations a few months ago) and disabled brother (we finally both got 2nd shot 3 days ago).
I know most probably won't be like us, but we ate out today (on the patio) for the first time in over a year! Felt great getting closer to normal...the Huevos Rancheros were tasty that I got, and the omelets mom and bro got looked great! Crazy year...tired of cooking...We will go back there for $25 lobster Wednesday next week!

My elderly parents and caretaking siblings have all had both shots now - and have resumed regular dining "out" - both inside and out.
It may ease your mind (if needed...) to realize that fewer than 1 in 300 people is contagious right now - so you'd need that peculiar situation where someone in your restaurant is contagious RIGHT NOW, and also that you are one of the folks with a vaccine that will catch COVID anyway. It happens. But - if you're not going to eat in or out now - when will you? This is as good as it gets. (Yes, soon it will be 1 in 400...then 1 in a 1000...but it will never - ever - be zero. Ever.) So, we've picked a number we're willing to live with, and it's behind us. Opinions vary, eating out is no fun if there is anxiety.
I have been dining outdoors for a while now, weather permitting. I just got my second dose yesterday, and I will probably continue to only dine outdoors. At least until fall when it becomes too cold, at which point I will re-evaluate.
I am fully vaxxed and 2 weeks after my second shot, in a fairly low-incidence community, and I treated myself to an indoor late lunch at a good restaurant eating food that doesn't travel well. It was delightful....but lonely.
I've had a couple of other indoor lunches since then, and I have one scheduled for tomorrow with a date! First time we've seen each other in person since January 2020.
We have gone out to lunch at an off time, place was not at all crowded and I felt Ok there. OTOH we went to pick up a carry out order at a busy restaurant at a busy time and I was quite uncomfortable with it because they had a crowd seated in their front lobby where I had to wait for my order.
Just got my second dose and my kid is not fully vaccinated yet either. I think we will wait a bit before venturing out to the popular places at busy times again as I live in an area where the vaccine is not a popular concept.
I have not eaten at any restaurant indoors or out in over a year. Just received the first shot and second one is scheduled near the end of May. Will be willing to eat outdoors after that. Perhaps being overly cautious but who will pay my mortgage if I get sick and can't work?
I have been eating out at restaurants for 2 weeks.
I just moved from Sacramento to Knoxville. No problem at any restaurants here or along the way on the trip here. No COVID either. Could be famous last words but so far so good.
I am awaiting my breakfast of Pork Tenderloin and eggs at Colonel’s Cafe, as I am... Oops, it is here.
Yeah, we're not post-COVID yet. I haven't eaten at a restaurant, indoors or out, for over a year. (I do get takeout) After I get my second dose in a few weeks, I'd probably be comfortable eating outdoors.
Yes, we have been eating out, and yes, we are vaccinated.
Had Cornish pasties yesterday at a place in Old Town Scottsdale. Really good, though their pandemic "precautions" made no sense at all. Like demanding we wear masks everywhere, even outside on the patio, unless we're sitting down. The reason given was that not all of their servers were vaccinated, which they easily could be now, since we're vaccinating everybody 16 and over and there are plenty of walk-in clinics.
Then, our server had been gone for some time so I fetched my own straw. She came back, saw that and I thought she was going to faint. Their precautions are just Covid theater: No useful purpose.
What keeps us from eating out every day is that no matter where you go, it's expensive. We ordered strawberry-rhubarb French toast the other day, not noticing there was no price on the menu. It turned out to be $14 each. I noted ruefully I am out of practice.
