What do like/dislike about Schwann's..

I like the taste and dislike the prices.
I don't think they are overpriced considering the quality and door service....I just can't afford it.

I find them a bit expensive, too. And the salesmen can be pushy. They used to have a strawberry cheesecake ice cream pie that was to die for. Every so often, I'm tempted to see if they still carry it. I think it was a summer thing, tho.

Our guy wasn't happy as we asked for him to come every other week and we only ordered minimally-aspargus,corn, snow peas, ice cream, biscuits. Like mentioned earlier we did order some entrees but they were awful and ended up in the trash.

They just laid off quite a few people yesterday.

I had my guy only stop once a month! The kids got to pick one ice cream treat a piece then I ordered 2 gallons of different flavors in the summer time.

I had one guy come bouncing in with my driver that he was training. Tells me what a great customer I had been for 10 years yada, yada, yada. He holds up 2 different frozen meals and says "which one would you like to have"? I pointed to one of them then he tried to add it to my bill! When I told him he said I could "have" one he looked at me and said "ok you beat this time" and handed me the meal for free.

I was so shocked that I called the company and told them not to send this guy to my house again. Now what if there were an elderly person they would have just forced them into buying something they hadn't intended on buying.

I love the lemon freeze cups. They are soooo good and I can't find anything similar in the store.

They were coming to my house for a few months, but I asked them to stop coming b/c it was just too pricey and I only bought a few things each trip. I never bought their ice cream b/c I didn't think it tasted better than ice cream that can be purchased at the grocery store @ 1/2 the price. But I liked their pizzas and freeze cups and tator tots. If they sold that stuff in the grocery store I would definitely buy it.

I didn't think the salespeople were pushy at all.

That's too bad; really depends on the individual driver--our's is not pushy. My sister's driver in TX drives up to her door and unloads her order right into her freezer for her! Talk about service!

OK, I'll be the first to say that I have no idea what you all are talking about.

In all the years I had them here I only had that one guy I posted about above. My drivers were friendly and offered to put it in our freezer too most times. I hated when I got a new driver though which towards the end seemed like every other month. They put in some long hours on their routes.

When the now exDH and I were stationed at Ft. Dix, NJ, the delivery guy came on a 1 month schedule at my request. One of the things I remember enjoying (we left there in 03) was a stuffed chicken breast.... the Cordon Bleu... and then there was the other I can't think of the name of it... stuffed chicken... but it was not ham.... anyway, they were good, and I also loved the stuffed shells. I never got desserts from them. They are expensive, but some of their stuff was good and some nights you just need EASY!

Best item is the lemon pepper marinated chicken breast.
Individually frozen so you can grill one or many.
I use these for company even and they are great.
