This is something my mom used to make. It's been a few years since I've had it but sure would like too! Anyone ever have it and care to share a recipe? Thanks
That's interesting. I've not had it with meat included, only as a side.
But, now that I said that, I have had chili-mac but I was just asking about plain old mac-n-tomato's.
This is funny....I literally just ate this five minutes ago. I just make box mac n cheese and by the Del Monte stewed tomatoes....heat it up, mix it together. Yum.
My grandfather used to like plain ole shell pasta with stewed tomatoes. I never liked it, it was too plain for me, but I thought about it a few days ago when I was thinking of him.

That's exactly what I am talking about. Just checking to see if anyone had a twist on it.
I have made it where I cooked ground beef, chopped onions and green peppers and then drain and add to cook elbow macaroni, stewed tomatoes and some tomato sauce to the right consistency. Now I'm hungry!
Here are some of my variations, as passed down to me by my Depression era mother.
Basic: elbow macaroni with stewed tomatoes. Add butter, and onion salt. Eat yourself silly.
Enhanced: same as above, but add cheddar cheese and bake. Make sure there is plenty of cheese on top as it will brown. Eat yourself sillier.
I saw where others were making it with ground beef, onions, peppers. I consider that "goulash". Yeah, I know it's not really goulash, but that's what we called it.
