not today, but yesterday, made a lemon smoothie. Which raised a question. Which side of the peel is "lemon peel" or "lemon zest" from? Doesn't matter now, as I tossed the peels away. bit I could have saved them.

Throw away the white part, technically the pith. It is bitter and has no flavor. Same for oranges and limes.

Never made a lemon smoothie. Please share the recipe.
