We are all paranoid now about what we eat. Every day something scary is revealed about our food. Last night I saw the documentary movie "Food, Inc." It was very well done and I recommend everyone make an effort to see it if you care about your health.

Paranoid is indeed the word.

These are the ten riskiest foods. Leafy greens topping the list, at 363 outbreaks and 13,568 cases of illness since . . . 1990? We're talking 19 years? (18, really, since 2009 isn't over yet.)

Think about how many people have eaten leafy greens in the last 18 years and haven't gotten sick. Go to the CDC website and look at causes of death. (2006 appears to be the latest date they have the statistics for, and the numbers there are the numbers of deaths in that year from those causes.)
Might give some perspective on this little news item.
