That would be fun. Not a lot of turbo lag and a flat torque curve on the ecoboosters!
I don't hear the resemblance? If it sounded like a Rogue the awkward CVT would be lugging it around at 1000RPM then randomly bouncing it off the rev limiter :P
Honest question. If both had the same pricetag (the GT and 4cyl ecoboost), would you choose the ecoboost over the GT?

Stock for stock just about anyone would go with the GT at the same price (it's a silly question given their capabilities). The price difference is where it gets tricky because you can likely build a car that is faster than the GT for less money. Or like current V6 buyers, they will find that the stock EB is plenty fast for their needs because they aren't entering a nut swinging competition.
Probably just to get a reaction out of you. What you asked was a silly question any way.
How was it a silly question? Some people have been raving about the new turbo 4 ecoboost. I would just like to know why those who prefer it over the v8 do.
At elevation like here at 5000' the turbo may actually have more power. I'm a diehard only drive V8's and am considering the EB in my next F150. I makes up for the loss of pressure.
They'll sell the hell out of these but talk about blasphemy. If it isnt going to come with a V8 they should have at least used the Ecoboost V6 (I know why it has a 4cyl - but still). Actually, I DONT know why they used a 4cyl. They cant get 300hp and 30mpg out of a NA V6? Even GM can do that!
