And 2 payments!!! Ill post the service sheets in my next post. The engine is a little peppier than the other, I think, or it could just be I haven't driven it in a while. EVERYTHING except the plastic covers was changed. The 2nd dealer cut no corners. New hoses, new alternator, water pump, clutch assembly, all of it. The service guy showed me all of the sheets for what they did, so I know he wasn't lying about it.

That's good to know! If I'm getting an engine swap, I would want all new parts on it too!

Heres what on the 3 sheets from the first dealer:

Sheet 1: 10/9/17

Customer states engine is knocking. Found slack adjuster wore on right side of engine. Removed and replaced all parts pertaining to replacement of adjuster. Test drove and returned car to service.

This was a flat out lie. Nothing like that happened. The car was up on a rack then with the oil pan off waiting for the Ford rep.

Sheet 2: 10/24/17

Customer states engine is still knocking. Found #5 and #8 rod bearings bad. Ford representative contacted for warranty claim. Representative said replace the engine. New engine delayed due to shipping issue. New engine arrived damaged.

I never picked the car up, so how could I know the engine is still knocking. I'm got a little upset after seeing that

Sheet 3: (Keep in mind its been several weeks since I original took the car in) 11/13/17

Contacted By Ford Customer Care. The 2014 Mustang GT, VIN # (Not typing that out) has been transferred to original selling dealer. Customer is aware. All diagnostic routines were handed over to dealer.

THis is the sheet from the dealer who did the work.

Sheet 1: 11/14/17

Received 2014 Mustang GT VIN # (Again, not typing) from (Dealer Omitted per Ford Customer Care) (It really does say Dealer Omitted). Customers original complaint was knocking engine. Found #5 and #8 bearings bad, and crankshaft scored. Replacement engine ordered. Engine arrived 11/15/17. Removed and replaced engine, all hoses, alternator, and clutch assembly. Flywheel inspected and found slight surface cracks, and replacement was ordered. Transmission serviced, and rear checked and serviced. All fluids replaced. Test drove car and returned to customer.

Warranty repair. 16 hours over allotted time was authorized.

Some shady business by the first dealer. I'd almost consider reporting that to Ford corporate as it's possible they are submitting false warranty claims to Ford when they can and getting paid for it.
