At least it doesn't look like it's trying to eat anyone.

Yeah, that's what they were going for and what the market wants. Things like the Escape are just the new family sedan. Most people want boring ones. For family sedans I think Mazda does the looks best. Suitably boring without being totally boring. The new Camry looks ridiculous.

Not a big fan of the new grille. They could have done more there but otherwise it looks like it should for the segment. Safe, predictable, and boring.

Oh boy howdy, another re-designed CUV.

I hate that the US market is so in love with this segment. Give me a sleek station wagon or hatchback any day over these tall, blobby things.

Can't remember what the name is of the Buick, but the shape of this Ford product is just about the same.

Can we all say "cookie cutter"?

Bob.
If you're talking about the Encore, that thing is a goofy hot mess. Epitome of awkwardness in CUV design.

I like the blocky old ones best. They look sturdy to me.

Look for this to be a big hit with city drivers.

Ford has covered both the city slicker car driving type CUV and the upcoming rugged Baby Bronco.

Yep...this is really just Part 1 of Ford’s small SUV/CUV launch. They designed the Escape for a certain set of buyers and the upcoming Baby Bronco will go after another set of buyers.

Gawd dang! That thing is effin fugly!

Bland, and boring front end. It looks more cartoonish than the last gen model.

A total rip from a Kia, especially with ugly headlamps. It has a Mazda side profile too. It’s a mix n mash of everything.

Honestly Mazda’s have the best looking CUV’s right now, the CX-9 is more of a luxury piece than anything, which is far better looking inside and out than the horribly ugly RX350. The Mazda’s really stand out especially in their famous red paint that shines and looks better than any other automakers red paint hands down, its quality is top notch.

If Mazda wanted to be a luxury brand they could easily pull it off. They have the nice design down, and there interiors are better feeling and looking than the majority of all the mainstream automakers on the market.
