Mark VIII for me. Ill never forget when I first saw one, I was intrigued, especially with the bizarre HID headlights, the likes of which were the first I ever saw. The space-age interior (for its time) had me drooling. LOL That was the FIRST Lincoln I ever thought I could own. I do like some of their new models, though.

Definitely, 1979 . . . The Mark II, especially the classic Convertible!

yeah same when I saw a tripple white one in showrooms it was pretty amazing inside and out. it was also one of the first cars to use the all-aluminum DOHC 32V 4.6 which later found it's way into the cobra mustangs

by todays standards the Mark VIII is not a heavy car. A new Infiniti G37 awd outweighs a Mark VIII despite being about 2 feet shorter. The Dodge Challenger R/T outweighs a Mark VIII by almost 400 pounds, and the new Chevy Camaro outweighs the Mark by 100 pounds.

The 1977-79 Mark V is my favorite, well actually I would stop at 1978 cause that is the last year for the desirable 460. These cars still have have the best drivetrain and have 4 wheel disc brakes with hydroboost and other improvements over the earlier Marks and the newer Marks just can't compare to these.

I pick the Mark III. Around '68-'71.
Those were very big, had the 460-cu-in engine with around 500 lbs-ft of torque, had soft seats and rode very smooth like a Lincoln should.

The only one I've had, or driven, is my 1977 Mark V. It was an ugly yellow but... what a cruiser! 460, 4-bbl, and a hood that arrived 5 minutes before the driver. I had to sell it before it rusted away. I tried everything, but the rust won.
