Good afternoon everybody!

I live in the Artesia development of Sunrise (Flamingo and 136th, just across from Sawgrass next to Bank Atlantic Center). I love renting here, but would not want to buy here.

Back on topic...

I have a 3 year old son who does not qualify for VPK this year, as he turns 4 on September 17. I know that it'll be beneficial in the long run to be *forced* to red-shirt him, but it's not a choice I would have made voluntarily.

Anyhow, I'm looking for a preschool within a 10 minute drive (spending all my time on the road also defeats my secondary, selfish purpose of having some time alone during the day) of Sawgrass that doesn't charge an arm and a leg! I was in sticker shock when I saw a place in Weston full time 5 days a week for $660 a month, and now I'm realizing that was an absolute bargain.

What I was hoping to find at a reasonable price are:
1) Bilingual education - Spanish/English...I'm native English speaking, husband is native Spanish speaking, we speak English at home.
2) I wouldn't mind a religious emphasis.
3) Not a daycare, but also not a super structured school environment with focus on drills and worksheets
4) Within a 10 minute drive of Sawgrass...if I could bike there, even better!
5) A place with some of the frills without the frilly price.

I was thinking reasonable was 1/2 days 3 days a week for $200 or so.

Is this just a pipe dream, quality not-too-fancy preschool without the price tag in the western section of Broward county?

Where do your kids go, and how much do you pay? What do you get?

Thanks everybody.
