The original poster asked about BROWARD County, not Miami. Yet this seems to be a Miami bashing thread for the most part. The original poster would never have to go to Miami if he moved here. Fort Lauderdale and Broward County are its own city independent of Miami with its own airport, own cruiseport, own downtown, and different culture. Fort Lauderdale is much more easy to deal with daily life than Miami. I admit Broward County has some issues with crime and poverty, but you can avoid the bad areas pretty easily.

Tampa and Orlando are not exactly small cities, but they are only slightly smaller than South FL. Broward County is about the same size as Tampa. Tampa and Orlando also have similar crime rates and lots of immigrants. I have no idea why people think Tampa and Orlando are paradise compared to Broward County.

Someone said Tampa and Orlando are better areas for young people? I beg to differ. There is way more to do for young people in South FL. While I agree that High tech grads are lacking in South FL, they are also lacking in Tampa and Orlando. High tech grads only make up a small percentage of the population anyways. Pretty much all of the negatives of South Fl are true in Tampa and Orlando for young people.

Tampa area is one of the biggest high-tech hubs in the country. Much more smart people than in FTL.

If you want to talk about *smart*, then maybe you should type "many more"?

If you want to talk about *smart*, then maybe you should end an imperative sentence with a period or exclamation mark.

But was it purely imperative?

I was just in Fort Lauderdale, and I must say that even though I was only there for one day, it is my second favorite city, after Honolulu. I loved the weather, beaches and scenery, and the people were happy and nice. Now, a lot of people hate Florida's climate and people, so it may not be for you. I would say that it is worth moving to, though.
