Monarch Town Center is a retail center locating on 22.5 acres in the northwest quadrant of Miramar Boulevard and South Flamingo Road in the City of Miramar in Broward County, Florida. It will be anchored by a 48,325-square-foot grocery store with pharmacy drive-thru (Retail Building A), a 25,000-square foot anchor (Retail Building D), and a 35,150-square-foot anchor (Retail Building G).

Retail Building A, the grocery store, is an approximate size for a Publix supermarket. I have not noticed any official announcement of Publix Super Markets announcing a store at Monarch Town Center.

I don't see what else it could be. Winn-Dixie seems to be shrinking instead of expanding. Only other possibility would be Target or Wal-Mart (regular size, not Super Center), although even those may be slightly larger than most Publix.

Walmart has reduced new store activity over the past two years. I do not see Walmart opening many stores for the foreseeable future. Walmart's Walmart Neighborhood Market supermarkets are similar in size to Publix and have gas stations.

Winn-Dixie is in a toxic decline. It will continue to reduce its store count through stores closing or being divested.
