South Florida is full of New Yorkers.

But I have met some Floridians outside of South Florida who hate NY and NYers, even though they have never been to NY.

Visiting NY only reinforces how awful NYers are.

No worries, most people get what they give, you will not have any problems, based on the above post.

Floridians who hate New Yorkers for the most part have moved to mid and northern Florida. The New Yorkers that people hate, are those who come to Florida and try to change it into another NY but with nicer weather. Live in Florida and enjoy it, do not try to change it, and you will have no problems.

I think people in Broward are more likely to "hate" Miami. There's a great place for everyone, go find what makes you happy.

I got no problem with NY or most NYers. I am a former NYer myself.

I loathe NY'ers. And NJ'ers. Wherever they go, trouble follows.

Ruski,
I agree that is extremely low. All of my quotes so far are $5000-$8000. But I am also moving a 4bed house with additional basement living room and the more stuff... the more weight... the higher the cost. I've heard of lower cost options but you get what you pay for. My quotes are from the big national movers... no local or small regional moving companies.

To the OP, good luck with your move. We are moving to Weston in late June.
