I have a Lexus 2016 that I need service on for my first time (other than needing an oil change) since living in Broward/Fort Lauderdale. If anyone has someone they can recommend that is honest and fair priced I would appreciate it. Guessing getting brakes done at the dealer will be costly.

Prefer east Broward near 95/Federal ideally .

I used to take my GTO exclusively to AutoGlitz. They care about your car as if it is their own.

They are in Hollywood. If you go, tell them Andrey who used to have a grey GTO said hi.

I highly recommend you Mr. Costa at Texaco station 1501 State Road 84 Fort Lauderdale FL. 33315
He is the best mechanic in town. I have been using his services for several cars I have had in the last 25 years. I am sure you wont ever regret his services. He is an honest man from head to toe. A rear coin to find in todays World. Work number (954) 524-6962

You are correct!! The dealer is costly!! I know you mentioned you do not want an oil change but if you even want to go further and save money by cutting the dealership from your life then look up your lexus here

https://www.searchforparts.com/oil-change/lexus/2016/

and see if the Signature Series oil is compatible with your engine. (If it shows up on the search with products of your vehicle then go with that and the filter).

Then you can search a reputable mechanic in your area using yelp and google reviews to make your decision. Any reputable mechanic will accept for you to take your own oil and filter.

I do this with all the vehicles I have owned.

hope this helps!

Jam-Man, I could write a novel on how much money and how much better that Signature stuff has saved me. I've been using that for over 20 years. And not only myself... TONS of friends and family members all made the switch. I could go on and on about how many people that were previously using Mobil 1, Royal Purple and Castrol that have all now switched to that. And not just for consumer vehicles. My other friend started his off in his Lexus for a while. He happened to own a large fleet of trucks. He switched over 100 trucks to that stuff. The maintenance costs he cut were north of $10,000 to $20,000 by extending the drain intervals. He told me that he had zero breakdowns in any of his trucks after switching to that oil. You are letting the cat out of the bag by letting people know about this stuff. Car dealers hate that oil. One owner I spoke with, I asked why he doesn't sell it to all of his customers. He flat out told me, "That oil is great, but that helps the customers and not me. It would make all of my service bays empty." AND THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT!!!! Do you have any idea how nice it is to have a car with 400,000+ miles and NEVER have to rebuild the engine or transmission? I AM LOVING IT! And so are all of my friends, especially the one who owns that truck fleet. Now he doesn't have to keep replacing trucks. Each truck costs $30k-40k+!!! Now he can keep each truck for years longer. Instead of trading it in, now he just replaces all of the shocks and worn out suspension parts after it puts high miles. That's way cheaper than buying a whole new truck. He keeps the old trucks running like new!! Why is everyone not using this oil?

I spoke with that guy with the fleet and asked him what he used for his trucks. He said this is the one:

https://www.searchforparts.com/oil-c...-pickup-5.0l-f

He has a bunch of F150 5.0's. He said they are like 5 years old and some of them have 200,000 miles on them and all are running like new with that oil. He said each driver is scheduled to come in at 25,000 miles to do an oil change. Zero problems. They said the drivers are able to get more done with all of that downtime eliminated. He told me, "Time is money." I said, "You could user a cheaper oil and save money." He said, "No you don't. I tried that. The money you save up front ends up costing you in more downtime plus breakdowns. Since we switched all of the trucks to this oil, we've had zero engine and transmission failures." He was raving to me over the phone a little while ago about the thousands he's saving per year. Man, this guy was LIT!!! He was cursing Mobil 1 and others that he tried. I said, "I thought those were good oils?" He told me that he thought so, too, but they ended up costing him tons of downtime and some of the trucks were having oil consumption issues with Mobil 1 and those problems all went away with the Amsoil. Just like I said... I could write a novel. And this guy just gave me a complete earful over the phone how good this oil is. I haven't spoken to him in years until today. Awesome guy.

Anyway, good luck!
