Title pretty much says it all. In-laws are gonna be in town. Thought that instead of driving back and forth that night, to just get a nice hotel on the beach that we can watch the fireworks from. Any recommendations ?

We stayed at the Fountainbleau one year, but Im sure there are closer options. If you have little kids, or will be with anyone elderly, dont even attempt to go out on the sand. Due to the mixture of large crowds, alcohol and fireworks, the scene can get very out of control.

ruski...do these have a direct view of the fireworks from the balconies ? I think ft.lauderdale does the fireworks from a barge they take out to sea. Correct ?

These are right on the beach, if you get a room facing the beach, you should be able to see something. Atlantic is probably the best bet. I stayed there once for the Air and Sea Show, it was right in the middle of it.

Best view and great price would be the Embassy Suites in Deerfield Beach. You can go out on the balcony and watch the firework from the pier there. I go to that beach every 4th of July with my family on our bikes and ride home afterwards with ease. There is a Comfort Inn closer to the pier, but I don't think it'll be as nice as the Embassy Suites.
