Besides they have traffic jambs in Cape Coral in the middle of July and Aug, so thats not a very good comparison. There are less people on the road this year than there were last that is a fact no matter what
And then there are no snowbird here, Well maybe a few if the come form the southern hemisphere, but they'll be very few.

Which Data? that there are Traffic jambs in July and Aug. when there are no snow birds here.
That's a well documented fact, they have been complaining about it all along how much more data do you need, I suggest that you read some of the local news papers, they have archived the DATA you are looking for.
Then when you find it you will have first hand knowledge, also talk to the locals about traffic in the summer time next time your out, they will give you an earful of DATA.

Hmm could the area be sortof rebounding ?

In my experience - since June of 2010, there are less moving trucks on the road, less "For Sale" signs in the yard, and I have to weave in and out of traffic daily on the way to work at 8am. While it may not be boom levels, I think that Cape Coral / Ft. Myers / SWFL is doing quite well. Business are still moving in - Ft. Myers is getting a Hobby Lobby, businesses are looking to hire - not in construction, but medical, education, and higher technology fields.

Again, where is the hard data? We have all posted proof to back up our postings here. You seem to be unable to over and over and over.

By the way, it is spelled traffic jams.

It is hard data talk to the folks.
And the last resort is always the spelling, as if that changes anything because someone mis-spells a word. Get over it.

hard data [′härd ¦dad·ə]
Data in the form of numbers or graphs, as opposed to qualitative information.
