Thanks, yeah Alligator Alley is $3 each way. I think the tolls are in Collier and Broward county for the return trip

Beachbum's got it right. I fish in Sanibel, and friends in Miami. Those are the correct toll prices

Right .. Sanibel is a one way toll, no toll to leave the island.

You can get all of this info from the Lee County website

It now cost 6 dollars to get across the bridge to get to Sanibel and there are traffic cops directing you at the four-way stops.
In the quest for greatness and with the power of their money, they screwed themselves big time. Sanibel

According to the math in the article, it looks more like the power and money of Lee County ... 79% of the Sanibel bridge toll collected goes to Lee County. I guess the Lee County half of the bridge must cost more to maintain than the Sanibel half.

I got the kind that sticks on the windshield, it was $5 with a $5 credit when you add money to the account, don't know if they offer that anymore, and I think I got it at Walgreens.

If you rent a car in Fort Myers, beware of the tolls on the bridges... there are no attendants at the booths so you can't pay in person and when you go thru the booth, you get charged the $2.00 PLUS $5.95 Admin fee EVERY TIME you go to Cape Coral, or $6.00 PLUS Admin fee of $5.95 for Sanibel........ ”DON'T STOP, WE'LL BILL YOU” shud be ”Don't Stop, We'll Rip You Off!”
We went to Cape Coral twice and Sanibel once on our last vacation. Rental company forwarded the charges for tolls to us. Of the $10.00 in tolls, PlatePass added $17.85 in Admin Fees. I can't find anywhere that it is explained that they will do that !!
