We dont mind the tourists but have been putting off doing some things until after they leave. Like traveling to different beaches, kayaking and other stuff. I'm thinking most snowbirds rentals will be up March 31 and the spring break usually is done by end of march for the northern states. So will we see a noticeable reduction around April 1?

I may be wrong, but most the snowbirds i know, don't rent , they own, so they can leave whenever. Having said that, By about april 15th most are usually gone

Traditionally, one week beyond Easter Sunday is when "season" is "officially" over.
Some folks have the week after the holiday off and spend it here. After that you'll notice the traffic lighten up a bit.

Many snowbirds do in fact own homes here, and a lot of them linger until end of May, or even longer at times.

Easter is when a lot of them go back.....but with the increase in popularity, coupled with the positive press about the area and its ratings, you may not notice a dramatic decrease in folks.

They're in the stores buying winter clothes that are on sale. My wife works in retail and has talked to a lot that said they are leaving at the end of the month (Friday). The three month people are heading out soon.

Its becoming so crowded that it doesn't feel like they ever leave at this point. People who remember it in the 80's remember the towns came to a stand still. You could go out on a Saturday morning and not see a single car your entire drive. I remember people riding their horses down main roads without issues. Now people are constantly everywhere.

Many go back to where their families are to spend easter with them. It's pretty slow by then.

the snowbirds will leave, but it will continue to feel like season because of influx of people moving to the area. My community is quieter without the snowbirds, but the stores and roads are just as busy.

While this adds to traffic it is better overall for the economy. With more companies moving to the area it will take a bit away from the boom and bust economy catering solely to retirees.
