A friend is interested in finding a two month (January, February, of course) rental next winter in the Fort Meyers area. The problem is that they have a disability that causes them to use a walker or wheelchair. It does not appear easy to find places that can accommodate them.

We stayed in a condo- on Lover's Key Ft Myers that I think was wheel chair accessible. I dont remember the name but there are only two there....cross the bridge and first left into parking lot. That was several years ago....but I thnk I am remembering correctly. The individual owners made their own rental agreements....We stayed for one week. It was pricey and two months would be expensive....but it was a beautiful unit with amenities and views were amazing.

Oh I am so glad I saw your post and remembered that the unit we rented when we were "checking out" Fort Myers...was handicap accessible....a feature we didnt need at the time. That was a lovely unit....we were sold on Fort Myers and have lived here for the past 6 years now. Glad I could help.
