Hello everyone,

First of all I want to thank everyone who contributes with thoughts and ideas, and help for each other.

I wrote this in another thread, but I thought it might be more visible in a new one. I will be relocating to Fort Myers, and I have been looking at several houses. I live in NYC and it's a little hard going back and forth trying to visit the different areas.

I am looking at a house in Lake San Carlos Circle. Does anyone who lives nearby have any information on crime. Is it a safe area to live? The real estate agent said it's a "so-so" area.

Any help, please? Thanks in advance

go to google earth and paste this in " Lake San Carlos Circle, 33967 " you will see the neighborhood. But that tells you nothing. My sons friend lives on that road, I've been there a few times.
There is a large mix of homes there. It is located in "San Carlos Park" there are a lot of forclosures in there now. I would call it a low rent district. You will find really nice houses right next to overgrown empty lots, houses that look like slums or if your lucky another house. Might have 6 cars, a old or new boat, an RV trash all over. Do you have an address, I'll go over and take a few pictures and check out the neighbors. You need to tell me what your looking for, Quality of the neighborhood that your looking for? One mans trash is another's treasure. I would not live there to be honest, to picky on my surroundings. Houses there probably range from $35,000 to $150,000. San Carlos Park is known for a lot of budget rentals. You might have 8 people, non related living in one house. Which means there might be 8 cars parked on the front lawn. Don't mean to scare you but just want you to know the worst. There are no deed restrictions there so anything goes.
