Default Sanibel Wedding

This is always a fun post! Does anyone have any ideas of great locations on Sanibel to have a wedding ceremony only. It will in August at sunset for less than 20 people. We do not want an expensive resort. Just some area that has real fluffy sand and beautiful water views. Definatly dont want matted down wet sand! We woudl like some where that is close to an access. We will be doing all the decorating so we want to be close to a beach entrance.

any ideas? Captiva works well too!

Thanks in advance.

Lots of great places! My favorite spot is the beach next to the causeway that goes from Captiva to Sanibel. Near the lighthouse would be pretty, too. Don't know who you ask for permission to have a wedding on the beach.

This site might help:

This is Blind Pass, which is all torn up from a dredging project right now. Beautiful area when the heavy equipment isn't there, though.

If you don't have anyone helping yet, Patricia Slater is the most well-respected officiator on the Island. You will not be sorry if you hire her.
