After being sceamed at ,called an ignorant m.f. and being told f.u. by the supervisor I removed my belongings from my peice of equipment got in my vehicle and left the jobsite to avoid any more confrontations with the supervisor. In his statement to the board he stated that he went to the restroom and when he returned I was gone and did not return. Even though I phoned another supervisor and asked to be removed from under his crew due to the abuse the hearing board found in their favor. I sent my phone records of the first conversation and included the phone record of my second conversation with the other supervisor asking if it was possible to keep my job but not work for my former abusive foreman and was told that i was "let go" the following morning by the second supervisor. So with this statement I knew tyhat he had informed the office of my phone call and was aware of the difficulty I was having with my abuser..The board ruled that because I did not inform the "office" of which I had no phone number, that i did not allow therm to correct the situation per say and that I voluntarly left my post and was therefore inelligable for further benifits. I sent a detailed statement of the days I worked for the man and it clearly showed the days before the final confrontation the day of the abuse and my attempt to remain in employment along with my phone records to show a time frame that my depositioin corresponded with. What can I do to show that I felt if I remained on his jobsite he could become violant or could push me over the edge to a hostile confrontation?
