My wife and I have been in north fort worth for 6 months now and are starting to look to buy a house. We both work in the hospital district downtown FTW so will be commuting there. Looking for some ideas of good suburbs with at decent commute (~30min). Our biggest hoop to jump through in our search so far has been our need for a 3 car garage and a house with an actual yard (1/4+ acre lot). We would like to spend no more than $300,000 but have some wiggle room for the right house. Most of the houses that meet our critera have been on the western side of FTW around Aledo and the NW side around Eagle mountain. Looking for some other options around the mid-cities so we are more centrally located with a few more nearby amenities. Will be starting our family once we settle into our home so good public elementary school system is important. see alot about southlake/grapevine area but I know what that commute and price range is so those are a no-go. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
