Greetings everyone! The company I work for is relocating my position to the facility in Haslet. What is the traffic like coming from Fort Worth on I-35W N? Would I be better off looking at apartments in Roanoke or Keller than in North Fort Worth? I currently work and reside in a small town so I'm not used to heavy traffic. Thanks in advance!

There are plenty of apartments in Roanoke area. With the traffic on 156/35 due to construction (OMG construction) stay to the north. For that matter, you could live in Grapevine and commute against the traffic flow on 114 and do much better than living in Fort Worth and commuting in that direction. My son spent several lovely hours stuck on 35 the other day during commute times due to wrecks, construction. Ugh!

If at all possible, avoid a commute that uses I35W for the next five years. It is undergoing a total reconstruction, and is going to be a mess for the foreseeable future.

Haslet and Roanoke both have apartments that are fairly new and nice. If you like smaller towns, that should work out well for you.

Town is moving towards Haslet. A number of new apartment complexes within 10-15 minutes of the Alliance corridor, stores, restaurants, ... Move into an extended stay, take a few days to check out the area, then sign a lease.
