Nicki's is ok. Everything is supplied by a company, I can't think of the name of the supplier and they just bake it. His brother-in-law Sammy owns Italian Bistro in Roanoke. Same pizza I believe. Don't get me wrong, it is better than Pizza Hut & Dominos but I want the guys that make their sauce without using a can opener.

When I googled NY style pizza in Fort Worth, this is what came up first on the list: Lushaj's in Euless, no idea what they have, but it's what came up.

I have eaten at Tony's on Rufe Snow and it's very good, although I've never eaten NY pizza, so I don't know how it compares.

The pizza that used to be terrific here was Brother's Pizza, and there is a location in the area, but I don't know if it's the same company as the one that was here years ago. Or Mama's pizza.

Smile Great thread!

We relocated from NY/NJ this past November. The OP asked the question that I've been afraid to. Keep the suggestions coming. I'm taking notes . We had a Papa Johns experience that drove us to try Dominoes... and that experience drove us right back to Papa Johns. *ugh*

You'd do just as well to toss some sauce and cheese on some cardboard than to eat Dominoes! blech!

Since I don't know about NY pizza, I only can go by what I know from living here all my life.

Pizza Hut would be the choice for a chain. Double Daves for a buffet. But.....if I want to eat cheap but good pizza, then I am going to Sam's club!

Lushaj's in Euless--have eaten there several times--a real hole in the wall and not too clean--they sell more than just pizza and do sell it by the slice
I think it is run by Albanians but maybe they cook NY pizza--
I have had very, very good pizza there but also some that tasted about like Domino's
so much of this depends on who is doing the cooking--many times these smaller restaurants have a variety of people who cook who rotate through the kitchen on some unknown to the public type of schedule because they are family members...
The family that owns the Italian restaurnt in Keller called Mezza Luna is from NYC--friends of ours have had long. running conversation with them about the "old neighborhood" but I don't think they make pizzas there but the rest of the menu is really good...especially lobster ravioli
