Whoever is cheaper.

HEB, Kroger's, Valero.

Does it matter where you get it from?

I use Stop & Shop as my supermarket and for every $100 I spend on groceries I save 10 cents per gallon on gas at Stop & Shop gas stations.

I grocery shop at Kroger and use their reward card to get a discount at their gas pumps (although I don't know what kind of gas they have).

I typically fill up at my local gas station (frequently the same store owner who also has a heating oil business in addition to the general store - we also contract with him for heating oil/burner service).

His prices aren't that much more than the local Sams Club (often just a few pennies). There is no Costco in my area.

It doesn't matter where you get it from right?

Krogers allows up to $1.00 per gallon ($1,000 purchases in a month) up to 35 gallons. Se I take two cars over, and save $35, once a month. Sams Club in between.

I usually buy my gas from Costco; however, I've moved and there is a Sams Club much closer than Costco. So yesterday I priced gas at the local station I have been buying from and premium was $4.06. Sam's premium was $3.65. That's .41 per gallon which is a savings of $4.10 a tank. I haven't priced Costco for awhile; however, I love them for fruit, veggies and chicken.

Holy old thread bump, Batman

I apparently didn't post 4 years ago, so I'll post today

I have a Costco in town, but have never filled up there.
1. I don't pay for a Costco card. On the rare occasion that they have some great deal (I don't buy bulk, since there are only 2 in my household), I go with my mom, who does have one.
2. It is about 4 miles the opposite direction from everything else I ever do, through heavy traffic
3. There are always long lines, usually about 30 minute wait to fill up
4. It is only about ten to fifteen cents/gallon less than where I do fill up
5. My tank is only 10 gallons and I don't drive much, so only fill up 12-14 times a year. For $1 per fill-up saved, that is $12-14 a year in savings. Since each trip would take about an hour round trip, it isn't worth it. My time is worth much more than $1/hour.

I fill up at either Stinker or Chevron, as both are near house and work. My dad, who drives a lot, so is all over town every day, usually fills up at Maverik, since they have a bunch of locations, and are only about 3 to 5 cents more than Costco, without the long waits.

I fill up at costco most of the time as I pass it on the way to work and on the way home most days. Is usually 10 cents cheaper than the other station plus I get 3% back for using my costco Amex which comes out to another 10 cents or so +/-
