All right - I know many of you live in perpetual Spring, and for many others Spring is still a distance away...

but I just can't take it anymore!!! Here in Cinci we're to be in the 50's today!! (Finally!! Been a cold winter so far!) and stay near the 50's all week. Next Friday its to push into the 60's!! The urge to GO OUTSIDE and work is nearly overpowering.......

I know that it doesn't mean Winter's over. (Even though Puxatawney Phil did say we'd have an early Spring) But the Robins are visible again, the geese are on the move, I've started to see some color moving into the tree branches ------ c'mon Spring!!!!

I know if this week holds out like they say, my bulbs will make a start for it...(I had some that came up in late Nov. and have just been dormant and confused since then)...

So anyway -- just a place for everyone with Spring fever to express their feelings...

Happy gardening 2011 to everyone!

I know exactly how you feel. I will do anything to get outside.

One thing I don't hope for is an early warmup, where all the trees and flowers bloom early, and then BLAM we get into another cold spell and all fruit blossems die

70 and sunny today everyone is outside in the yard, I'm finally taking a break. Sometimes i think I work harder at home on the weekends than during the week (don't tell my boss).

Spring cannot arrive soon enough for me! My narcissus bulbs are starting to break through the mulch, and my pansies (that have looked pathetic all winter) are starting to perk up! Yay!

Wow I would be excited too if we were getting into the 50s this week. Yesterday was our best day in ages - It hit 33. Today it was about 28 and the snow at the end of my drive is taller than me. I won't be thinking spring for about at least another 3 or 4 weeks. We need to go through mud season before there will be any gardens breaking through. This is the main thing I dislike about Maine - the very late spring but I sure do LOVE May. It is so appreciated with it's lovely smell, longer days and 100 shades of green. I just pray for "few" rainy days in May.

we were low 40's, snow is melting, but we still have a lot of it.

I'm hoping with the warmth, and rain towards the end of the week... most if not all of the snow will be gone.

Need to get going on my winter sowing... been lagging behind this year.

Like a lot of my garden friends my finger nails are too clean time to play in the mud.

The weather can fluctuate quite a bit at this time of the year. We hit 80F today and will be mid 70's through out the week, then it's predicted another cold front comming through and heading eastward to all you snow people.
I'd wait until March (mid March or later in the colder areas) before getting to excited, otherwise you may lose your investment.
