Today's pics of my garden. The humidity is so high today, though, that it was fogging up my lens.

Sunday garden pix.

Coneflowers. There are all "volunteers," apparently
seeded by last year's coneflowers in another
area in my yard. These things are quite invasive,
but they're pretty when they're blooming!

Some of my hybrid daylilies.

I love these daylilies!

Tiger Lilies!

My favorite hosta. To give you an idea how huge this plant is, the larger
leaves are 14" wide and 17" long!

A lot of the color in my yard has now died down and we were in PA a couple of weeks ago, saw them and I tried to duplicate them just to have some color:

The photos are wonderful, such magnificent flowers. I am extremely new to gardening in fact just started in 09 but we are having such a horrible drought this year 2010 I have nothing to take pictures of that isn't sad. I do have a request though since I'm such a new gardner and am focusing mainly on native plants for South Texas I am not familiar with your beautiful flowers, could you possibly put the names in for them. Thanks and maybe this fall I will have some photos of at least my lantana.

The white flowers are night blooming Cereus Cactii....I think you can easily grow them in Texas. The rest are Coursage orchids...I'd imagine you can grow the same plants, in general...in both Texas and Florida though you may need to water more because of less humidity there. However it really does not rain along the West coast of Florida nearly as much as people think.

Thanx for the kind words...the snakes were in a "frenzy" and zoomed over my feet before I could snap a few pictures.......they are harmless...at leasst that species.....just stomp your feet when walking and most snakes(unless you are already close) will give you a wide berth.

Hibiscus.

Plumbago.
