All of them terrifically invasive and destructive to the landscape. Some poisonous.

No doubt, goat heads and Russian thistle. Goat heads keep my garden tractor tires flat and they track into the house and make a 3:00 am barefoot trip to the bathroom a thrilling experience. Tumbleweeds fill my open barn and stick in my equipment each spring. Both species could probably live on the moon.

Guinea grass. It will eat my shed if it's not kept whacked down. It's relentless. In a season it can get to over ten feet tall and even the backhoe has to dig it up in small clumps.

Fireweed is nastier, though. It poisons the animals and poisons the people who eat the animals. The poisons are cumulative, too, so even if the animals are still healthy when slaughtered, the poisons will still accumulate in carnivores. We now only buy beef and lamb from farmers who we know keep their pastures fireweed free.

Yellow Dock. It's everywhere and it comes back really fast when you pull it up, but worst of all, I'm very allergic to it.
